Terms of Service
Last updated: September 24, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Postmarks (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"), which form a binding agreement between you and Trip Wizard LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Postmarks turns step counts from Apple HealthKit or Health Connect into progress along virtual routes based on real places. The Service may include routes, pacing options, Day and After Dark modes, stamps, Trail Find souvenirs, a Backpack, achievements, journals, certificates, City Guides, guestbooks, Traveler Cards, invited friendships, and other features or collectibles.
Some features are free. Others require a one-time edition, expansion, cosmetic, or consumable purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Features described as rolling out, preview, planned, or future expansion may not be available to every user and may change before release.
3. Account Registration
Most features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, protect your credentials, notify us of suspected unauthorized use, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Health Data and Physical Activity
Postmarks requires permission to read step count from Apple HealthKit on iOS or Health Connect on Android. Optional features may request location, motion, notification, or photo-library permissions. You acknowledge that device and health-platform data can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or inaccurate and that you can revoke permissions in device settings.
Postmarks is an entertainment and lifestyle product, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a condition. Walk safely, follow local conditions, and consult an appropriate professional before beginning an exercise program when needed.
5. Purchases and Consumables
5.1 Current Offerings
Current Postmarks edition and expansion purchases are one-time, non-consumable entitlements unless the in-app offer clearly says otherwise. Separate one-time cosmetics and consumable products, including Kintsugi tokens, may also be offered. Postmarks: Free does not require a purchase.
5.2 Billing and Restoration
Purchases are billed by your app store at confirmation and are also processed for entitlement management through RevenueCat. Prices, taxes, currency, family-sharing eligibility, and payment methods are controlled by the app store. Restorable non-consumable purchases can be restored through the app when you use the same store account. Consumables that have already been used cannot be restored.
5.3 Legacy or Special Offers
If you previously obtained a subscription, Lifetime All-Access, promotional entitlement, trial, or code that is no longer generally offered, its billing, renewal, cancellation, and access terms remain governed by the original offer and your app-store account. We do not promise that every historical product will remain available for new purchase.
5.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under the policies of the store where you purchased. We cannot directly issue an app-store refund except where the platform or law permits.
6. Routes, Progress, and Digital Items
Routes, progress, stamps, souvenirs, achievements, certificates, cosmetics, and other digital items are licensed features of the Service, not physical goods or transferable property. They have no cash value and may not be sold, exchanged, or transferred between accounts. We may rebalance distances, fix incorrect unlocks, update artwork or metadata, and change future or unreleased content while making reasonable efforts to preserve legitimately earned history.
7. Friends and Social Features
Walking with Friends uses private invitations. You are responsible for invitations you share and for deciding which users to accept. Accepted friends may see Traveler Card details and coarse journey information as described in the Privacy Policy. Social presence is an approximate virtual route position, not a promise of another person’s physical location.
You may remove or block users. We may restrict invitations, remove social content, or suspend access when needed for safety, abuse prevention, or compliance. Do not use invitations, guestbooks, profile details, or shared content to harass, impersonate, mislead, or expose another person’s private information.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or violate another person’s rights
- Gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or unreleased features
- Interfere with the Service or use bots, scripts, or automation to manipulate it
- Share, sell, or transfer your account
- Artificially inflate step counts, streaks, unlocks, purchases, or route progress
- Submit misleading, offensive, infringing, or harmful content
- Harass users or misuse invitations, blocking, reporting, or guestbook features
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract source code or protected assets except where law expressly permits
9. User Content
The Service may let you create journal notes, guestbook entries, profile selections, Traveler Cards, featured collections, feedback, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your original User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, display, and use it only as necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. Public guestbook content may be displayed to other users; friend-visible content may be displayed to accepted friends.
You are responsible for your User Content and must have the right to submit it. We may remove content that violates these Terms, the law, or another person’s rights.
10. Intellectual Property
Postmarks software, stamps, souvenir artwork, route imagery, journal designs, logos, text, and other Service content are owned by Trip Wizard LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for non-commercial purposes under these Terms.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms, creates risk, abuses the Service, or must be restricted by law. You may delete your account from Settings. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends, although provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective.
12. Service Changes and Availability
We may add, change, delay, or discontinue features and content. Online services, third-party platforms, feature flags, maps, cloud sync, purchases, and social features may be unavailable at times. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve purchased entitlements and earned progress, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that planned content will launch on a particular date.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIP WIZARD LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR A CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU MADE NO PAYMENT. LOCAL LAW MAY PROVIDE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trip Wizard LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version here, change the date above, and provide additional notice when required. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to rights that cannot be waived under local law, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
